Card Catalog Recycle!

I would love to find an old card catalog set up like this but I'd probably still use it to catalog my books, movies and other media :) Once a librarian's daughter, always a librarian's daughter!

But I Don't See You as Asian: Curating Conversations about Race - Bruce Reyes-Chow

After just completing Bruce Reyes Chow's "But I Don't See You As Asian?", I thought it only fitting to continue my education about Asian Pacific Americans.  Turns out Bruce has done a lot of the work for me! From books, films, and even music, he pulls together resources about destroying stereotypes but with a lot of humor and fun.

The Giver, in my mind, was one of the ground-breaking young adult novels focusing on the deconstruction of a Utopian society. Before Hunger Games, Divergent, and The Maze Runner, somehow this novel is one of the last to get a movie option.  The Giver has great sentimental value for me but is also beautifully written by Lois Lowry so I am sure the movie will fall short for me. However, I will give it a chance and hope for the best.
